This is a combined test for the Mercury Tri-Test and Blood Metals Panel.

The Quicksilver Mercury Tri-Test is the only clinical test that utilizes mercury speciation analysis, a patented advanced technology that separates methyl mercury (MeHg) from inorganic mercury (Hg II) and measures each directly. Quicksilver Scientific’s instruments are sensitive enough to measure ambient mercury levels in the body without the need for challenge testing. This laboratory test provides unprecedented information for the healthcare practitioner, allowing them to assess the patient’s exposure sources, body burden and ability to excrete each form of mercury. This detailed information helps build an informed picture and allows the clinician to plan a rational approach to successful detoxification strategy for the patient.

The Quicksilver Scientific Blood Metals Panel screens for a broad range of toxic and nutrient metals to show elevated exposure to toxic metals or imbalances of nutrient metals in whole blood. The Quicksilver Scientific whole blood elemental metals analysis uses state-of-the-art inductively coupled plasma/mass spectroscopy. The test measures levels for 19 metals, including beneficial nutrient metals and potentially toxic metals.

Quicksilver’s Blood Metals Panel measures the following:

  • Nutrient Elements: Calcium, Copper, Lithium, Magnesium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Selenium, Zinc
  • Potentially Toxic Elements: Antimony, Arsenic, Cadmium, Cobalt, Lead, Mercury, Silver, Strontium

The measurement of these chemical mediators is obtained after a food or food-chemical exposure and calculates these changes as either “non-reactive,” “moderately-reactive,” or “reactive,” based on the level of inflammation induced from the exposure. The immune mediator release, which brings about inflammation, is the key event that leads to negative symptoms.

Please note: This test requires a blood draw. Please arrange phlebotomy with your physician or a local hospital or lab prior to ordering this test.

This order does not include a test interpretation. If you would like a test interpretation, you can schedule a consultation with our Director of Clinical Services, Michelle Ross. We recommend a 30-minute appointment.
